June 10 Muni Service Changes Adds Service on Connector Routes By Clive Tsuma The 38R Geary Rapid will run every 6 minutes starting June 10 Starting Saturday, June 10, the SFMTA will be adding Muni service on several lines to address crowding, wait times and to support increased summer tourism. We’re also making some stop changes to serve more customers and make the service more accessible and reliable.  Increased Service  To address crowding and reduce pass-ups, we’re adding service on the 1 California between Clay and Drumm streets and California Street and Presidio Avenue – where demand is highest – on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  We’re also going to be starting service earlier on the 1X California Express, at 7:30 a.m. instead of 8 a.m., in response to customer feedback, as well as adding stops at Cherry, Spruce and Laurel streets and Presidio Avenue.   We’re also extending the evening service to the Presidio at 30 Stockton seven days a week. Haunted Hike at Stow Lake

Golden Gate Park

There are those who believe that Halloween should come more than once per year. Fortunately, they aren't alone and can get an off-season fright fix this Saturday evening during the SF Bay Area Social Club's Haunted Hike at Stow Lake. Attendees will congregate by the boathouse where they will learn the tale of San Francisco's most famous ghost story which is said to center around a lost child, a distraught mother and Stow Lake.

How to Get There on Muni: Ghost hunters may take the N Judah Line, 5 Fulton, 7 Haight/Noriega, 29 Sunset, or the 44 O'Shaughnessy routes to near Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park.

Muni Service Notes: There are no planned service changes for this event.

Women's Suffragette March Reenactment

March is Women's History Month and the Hyde Street Living History Players will celebrate by reenacting a women's suffrage march at the Hyde Street Pier this Saturday. This year will mark the 101st year since the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which finally ensured that women would have the right to vote.

How to Get There on Muni: Suffragettes and their supporters can take the Powell/Hyde Cable Car Line, E Embarcadero and F Market and Wharves lines as well as the 8 Bayshore, 19 Polk, 28 19th Avenue, 30 Stockton, 47 Van Ness or the 49 Van Ness/Mission routes to near the Hyde Street Pier and Fisherman's Wharf.

Muni Service Notes: There are no planned service changes for this event.

New T Third Connecting Chinatown to Sunnydale Starts Saturday By Christopher Ward New Muni Metro map. This Saturday the T Third starts its long-awaited new route connecting Chinatown-Rose Pak Station from 4th & King in Central Subway, Mondays through Fridays, 6 a.m. to midnight every 10 minutes and Saturdays and Sundays, 8 a.m. to midnight every 12 minutes.   The K Ingleside will now travel between Balboa Park and Embarcadero Station. Customers using Embarcadero & Folsom, Embarcadero & Brannan and 2nd and King platforms should transfer to the N Judah at Powell Station or 4th & King. Watch the new Muni Metro service  map animations . The following bus service changes also start this Saturday: The T Third Bus will now run along 3rd and 4th Streets in SoMa and on Stockton Street north of Market Street to align with the new T Third rail line and will no longer travel on the Embarcadero and Market Street.   The 6 Haight/Parnassus  will now run until 12 a.m. daily
